Also upon receipt of your visa, after registering it with the local D.A.S. office, you will be issued a Colombian Cedula, this is a Colombian I.D., all Colombians must have this I.D. to do any of the normal activities, such as work, travel, banking, notary, doctor, hospital, driving, and the list goes on, it is the most important document that a Colombian can have ,and when lost a temporary is issued, the new one can take (1) year to come to a Colombian, how ever, this process has been streamlined for the marriage process, and you can expect delivery of your Cedula in (10) days.
